A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a shared hosting with us. You can enable the feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-use Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the shared hosting account itself. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have set up displayed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you if a certain mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you want. If there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will get a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve created using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
